it's rare for a contemporary photographer to successfully capture the essence of street photography in a vein similar to lee friedlander, charles harbutt, cartier bresson, etc. without it being super cheesy. im sure john gets these comparisons all of the time, but it's so crazy to look at these and know they were taken in 2010!
